Aluminum Anodizing Chemicals
When an aluminum part is used as the anode in an electrolytic cell, a controlled oxide film is formed. This process, known as anodizing, enables aluminum to be used in a number of ways for which it might not otherwise be suitable. Anodized aluminum can be found in automotive, aerospace, construction, decorative items, sporting good equipment and many other applications. The anodizing process forms an oxide film which grows from the bass metal as an integral part of the metal. This film imparts a hard, corrosion and abrasion resistant coating with excellent wear properties. The coating, porous in nature can be dyed numerous colors.
